Hey everyone! Log Flumes are a water ride where guests sit in narrow log shaped boats, and they travel through a water-filled track which usually has several drops. Some of these rides also have an element which reverses the boats so they travel backwards through part of the track. They can be found in almost every real park, and in Rollercoaster Tycoon they are also represented.
It's pretty easy to make a Log Flume in OpenRCT2. Log Flumes typically have two or three drops along their layout. The first drops are usually smaller ones, while the final drop is almost always a bigger one. The last big drop is almost always placed at a point where the water would splash onto a path, so make sure to place it next to a path where guests can walk.
OpenRCT2 has added a steep drop element for the Log Flume, which can be enabled by using the 'Enable all drawable track pieces' cheat. The boats don't have sprites for the steep drop so it may look a bit wonky, but it does make the track layout look a lot nicer!
In the following video you will see how to build a pretty simple nice looking log flume!
