Creating a Himalaya / Music Express Ride

Difficulty level: Hard

Hey everyone! Himalaya or Music Express rides are rides which are often found on fairgrounds, but some amusement parks have a ride like this as well! It consists of many cars which are rotate around on an undulating track, where they move up and down. During the ride, at some point the vehicles will usually change direction once or twice.

In OpenRCT2 these rides will usually be a bit bigger than most other custom flat rides, because of the upwards and downwards curves that are required, however they can look really cool if you decorate them nicely! Most of these rides have a roof over the entire structure, some of them have a circular roof, but usually it's a big square!

If you just want the vehicles to move forwards the shoestringing required for this ride will be pretty straightforward. However if you want the ride to reverse or move faster during part of a cycle, you'll have to use shuttle mode for this ride, and make some reversing sections on the control track. This isn't too difficult to manage, though!

In the following video you will see how to build your own Himalaya / Music Express ride!
