For this first round, you will be tasked with creating a park that is themed around a World Wonder, or a park with several areas with each one themed around a World Wonder! You can decide what you consider a World Wonder; you could for example consider man-made structures like the Pyramids or the Lighthouse of Alexandria, but you could also consider the Niagara Falls, or the Grand Canyon! You could even make up your own World Wonders, like the world's largest Toilet Bowl! What's important is that these World Wonders are grand, and a central focus in your park!
Rule 1: You must build a park that is themed around one or more World Wonders. You decide what is a World Wonder, but it must be grand, and it must be a central focus of the park.
Rule 2: Your park must include the following:A decorated park entrance with ticket counter and gate
A parking lot, or some form of public transport to the park (or both)
A transport ride
At least 4 rollercoasters
At least 4 other rides
One or more themed areas, each with a World Wonder as the central focus
Rule 3: The deadline for this contest will be on the 16th of March 2024 at 19:00 CEST! To prevent rushing, you will not be allowed to submit your park before 2024 starts. At some point during this time period, there will be a form of review session where you can submit your park for tips and feedback.
Rule 4: For this contest, you are only allowed to use objects from the RCT1 and RCT2 base game and their official expansions, OpenRCT2-official objects, and custom objects that are included in the DKSO v1 bench. You are also allowed to use a custom palette if you want.
Rule 5: The minimum map size for this round is 5000 tiles. This number will be calculated by multiplying the size of the map edges. You could for example make a map that is 50 x 100 tiles, or 75 x 75 tiles.
Rule 6: There is no limit to the amount of opened rides you can have in the park.
Rule 7: Have fun!
