Scenario Improvement Contest

Hey everyone! It's time for our third Park Creation Contest! Everyone who joins will get 6 months to build in one of the original scenarios from RCT1, RCT2 or their expansions! You don't just have to build inside the park area, but the area outside the park also has to be improved. You could for example add parking lots, roads, farms, forests, towns, cities, mountains, mining communities, or space elevators!

You are allowed to team up with several other players in this contest! You can not submit a park that you have released anywhere else before!

Rule 1: You must build in an original scenario from RCT1, RCT2 or their expansions. The minimum size of the scenario must be 8000 tiles. It is recommended to keep the scenario somewhat recognizable from how it used to look. It is recommended to upgrade any existing landmark rides instead of removing them.

Rule 2: You are allowed to change the area of land owned by the park. You must fully decorate the area inside the park. The area outside the park also has to be decorated, examples of things you can add are in the intro text.

Rule 3: The deadline for this contest will be on the 16th of March 2025 at 19:00 CEST! To prevent rushing, you will not be allowed to submit your park before January 2025.

Rule 4: For this contest, you are only allowed to use objects from the RCT1 and RCT2 base game and their official expansions, OpenRCT2-official objects, and custom objects that are included in the DKSO v2 workbench which is linked below on this page. You are also allowed to use a custom palette if you want.

Rule 5: You are allowed to shrink the map, but the Map Resizer plugin must be used. You are not allowed to expand the map. The minimum map size before and after shrinking for the scenario (multiplying the map edges) is 8000 tiles. You will be rated on everything that is placed inside this area.

Rule 6: There is no limit to the amount of opened rides you can have in the park.
