Hey everyone! It's time for a new Ride Creation Contest. And for this one, we will revisit a contest we last did several years ago: The Ride Recreation Contest! In this contest you will have to recreate a real coaster that exists or one that has existed in the past. You don't have to rebuild the actual location of the ride, you can put the coaster on the moon if you want to! You'll have to do your best to make the coaster recognizable, though! Several coasters types have gotten new track elements, which may help in recreating their layouts!
Some tips: RCT2 is a grid based game. Most real coasters are not built on a grid, so feel free to take some creative liberties to fit the coaster in! Focus on what looks best instead of adding awkward turns of transitions in an effort to be as realistic as possible.
You are allowed to make teams of up to two people in this round!
Rule 1: You have to recreate a coaster that currently exists, or has existed in the past. Try to keep it recognizable. I recommend naming it after the recreated coaster and painting it in the same colour scheme.
Rule 2: You don't have to environment which the real coaster sits in, you can put the coaster in a completely different landscape if you want.
Rule 3: The deadline for this contest will be on the 25th of February at 19:00 CET!
Rule 4: For this contest, you are only allowed to use objects from the RCT1 and RCT2 base game and their official expansions, OpenRCT2-official objects, and custom objects that are included in the DKSO v2.5 bench. Custom objects that are not in the DKSO v2.5 bench are not allowed, so make sure you don't use those. You are also allowed to use a custom palette if you want.
Rule 5: The maximum map size for this round is 4000 tiles. This number will be calculated by multiplying the size of the map edges. You could for example make a map that is 80 x 50 tiles, or 63 x 63 tiles.
Rule 6: There is no limit to the amount of opened rides you can have in the park.
Rule 7: Have fun!
