My entry is based off of my favorite roller coaster growing up - Volcano: The Blast Coaster at King’s Dominion in Doswell, Virginia. The original ride was a launched inverted coaster built around an artificial volcano at the center of the park. Sadly, it was dismantled without warning in 2018, so I never got the chance for a last ride. I scaled up the coaster quite a bit because the smaller scale just didn’t capture the look and feel of the ride to me. So it’s a bit ridiculously sized, but hopefully I captured the shape, style, and gravity of the original ride with this recreation.

(For those curious, the other two coasters in the park are also defunct King’s Dominion rides, Shockwave and Hypersonic XLC)
