At the peak of a treacherous path that snakes up the side of Mount Inariyama, once sat a temple known to many as the Golden Pavilion. This temple was the gathering place of Buddhists from around the world, and stood as a symbol of peace. Like all good things, there were people who set out to destroy it. Arsonists attacked the temple overnight, and left it crumbling and broken. Devastated, the Buddhist people knew their only option would be to rebuild; Bigger and better than before. At the base of the mountain they enclosed the entire areas as an amusement park, as a means to both bring attention to the importance of the area, as well as fund the rebuild. After a short period of time, it has already proven to be a huge success for their efforts, and rebuilding their sacred Golden Pavilion will commence soon.
"No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path."
― Gautama Buddha, Sayings of Buddha
p.s. In this Buddhist-built park, it was considered disgraceful to place anything underneath Red Torii Gates, which ultimately were used to support their Roller Coaster. They're REALLY strong.
